GAD Load balancing
What is the best way to load balancing?
I want to make load balancing to: 3 in wan, 1 out lan.
what is the best way to do that?
Logon Load Balancing
I have installed PI 7.1 on Oracle with an additional application server instance (DI).
In Central Instance I have created two logon groups and in my services file i have added “sapms<SID> 3640/tcp and sapms<SID> 3642/tcp” of the following Directory “C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc”. Now I am able to see the created groups in my Logon Pad. i have added CI as PIP1 and DI as PIP2 in my logon pad and can login to the respective server.
Could you please guide if this is sufficient for load balancing.
I have another situation: Using the logon pad, i will try to login into the Dialog Instance (PIP2). If PIP2 is down, will it direct me to login into Central instance(PIP1)? If not, how to achieve this.
Load balancing/Fail over SEPM console
I am trying to install a Load balancing/Fail Over SEPM console. I have installed the SEPM software and I am running the “Management Server Configuration Wizard.” I chose the “Add an addtional Manager to an Existing Site”. I am at the screen “Specify the database parameters of the existing Microsoft SQL Server Database”. I need to correctly compete the SQL Client folder. What software to I have to install to have a valid local directory for this field.
On the first site, I installed SQL 2005 on the same server and was able to use the default SQL location. Do I have to install SQL server on each management server?
Load Balancing using a ASA 5510 and two separate ISPs
Can an ASA 5510 load balance over two ISPs (i.e. send and receive traffic over two different connections simultaneously)?
I know the unit has Dual-ISP support so if one ISP fails it can re-route the traffic through the other ISP but can it utilise both circuits and take advantage of both connections simultaneously?
