I have a multi-WAN environment with two dedicated WAN links, both links are working fine, but I had to configure them using Fail-Over instead of Load-Balancing.
I did this because some sites use the IP address to validate their sessions, I tried to use stick connections, but with no success, when it starts to work in one of the links, but when tries to use the second one, the connection will not be established.
Does anyone face this issue before?
Load balancing and sticky connections
MySQL load balancing
Hi, can anyone please suggest how to load balance MySQL clusters? can I use ELB to load balance both http requests and mysql queries? or what if I install haproxy in one instance and use that to load balance MySQL clusters? Also does load balancer have any dependency on the version of mysql for its correct functioning?
Basically I have installed mysql version 5.0.86. Does load balancer have any dependency on the version of mysql? Should I upgrade to 5.1?
Load balancing not working, but works with only 1 WAN plugged in
This is driving me nuts here, I have tried various configurations, but they either don’t work or keep things the same.
When both of my WANs are online then internal browser requests begin to intermittently (mostly) time out.
If either of the WANs (but only one) are online, then the performance is solid from the web browser.
I suspect this is DNS related since it doesn’t seem to impair IP address based traffic.
I’ve set things up mostly following the guide http://doc.pfsense.org/index.php/MultiWanVersion1.2 but have not set up a DMZ.
MySQL Cluster (NDB) for one server?
I am about to launch a new web application using PHP/MySQL.
I want to have scalability as a consideration (not an after thought) and am currently tinkering with MySQL NDB.
Is it worthwhile starting out with just one replica (1 x NDBD) and adding nodes as the project expands or just stick with MyISAM and when I buy my second server for load balancing/DR then move to NDB?
Does NDB work ok across RAID setups?
Loadbalancing odd/even I cant sometimes login from internet
I have loadbalancing on two internet lines according to this manual. It works perfectly for internet users.
But I can connect from outside (from winbox) to mikrotik. Only randomly! Some times yes and sometimes not.
All users behind masquerade on local address work well without problems.
Only administration from outside is problem. I guess that router send to me reply on my connection through first line to second line. But I have tried a lot of times to make some rules, but without success.
Can you help me? Where problem could be?
